This 4x5 film image, taken with my Wisner 4x5 view camera and Schneider 110mm XL Lens on Fuji Velvia 50 film, offers a unique perspective of the Philippines' agricultural landscape. Perched on a treacherous mountain road, the photo captures a mesmerizing view of both lush terraces and scorched earth awaiting sweet potato planting. The river, winding in a graceful "backwards S" shape, adds a natural rhythm to the scene. The inclusion of the film edges serves as a reminder of the traditional photographic process, echoing the timeless cycle of cultivation in this region. Photo © copyright by Rich Voninski.
