Smiles of Bagan
Bagan, Myanmar
Perched atop a towering temple in Bagan, I awaited the first rays of sunrise, but it was an unexpected encounter that painted the morning with true brilliance. A lovely girl, her demeanor as bright as her smile, sold vibrant T-shirts. Striking a deal for a portrait, I soon found myself adorned with a token of her artistry – a shirt that tells a story. Her beaming visage, adorned with Thanaka, a traditional tree bark paste, reflects the rich cultural tapestry of Myanmar.
