People ask me "What kind of camera should I get?" I usually say "Most cameras are the same. Just don't skimp on the ˜glass/lens" and get a good tripod. I think 5% of photography is the gear - 15% is knowing how to use it and 80% is being in the right place at the right time - Right Todd Caudle? Well this particular evening I got really lucky in the 80% category. Vin de Venoge, Win Tut Kyaw and I had a sunset that just didn't want to quit. It was hot and steamy and there was lots of "heat" lightning in the clouds. Very few bolts. But the skies lit up so nicely with every strike. I kept on shooting and in this 20second exposure managed to capture my 1st lightning bolt ever. What do you think? Photo © copyright by Rich Voninski.
