Inside the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood in St. Petersburg, Russia, I aimed my Canon 14mm L series lens upwards to capture the breathtaking mosaic-covered ceiling. A tapestry of intricate designs unfolded before me, a symphony of colors illuminated by the interplay of light and shadow. The myriad details, from radiant hues to delicate shading, create a mesmerizing effect. Each mosaic piece forms a piece of history, woven together in this architectural masterpiece.
