Taken with a Mamiya 7 camera on Velvia 50 film, this vertical shot captures the essence of the Banaue Rice Terraces. A long footbridge gracefully spans the Chico River, connecting two worlds of lush greenery. These footbridges are a common sight in this region, serving as vital links between terraced fields. Having crossed a few myself, I can attest to the thrill and slight unease of each step. This image reflects the resilience and resourcefulness of the people who have shaped this remarkable landscape.
