Echoes of Soviet Era
Outskirts of Riga, Latvia
On the outskirts of Riga, Latvia, I stumbled upon this decaying relic of a bygone era. The crumbling façade of the abandoned building, painted in fading shades of grey, white, and tan, seemed to whisper secrets of its past. As stormy skies loomed overhead, a ZAZ-968 Zaporozhets, a classic Soviet car, sat parked in front. This scene transported me back in time, capturing the essence of a vanishing Soviet legacy, and I couldn't help but be intrigued. Photo © copyright by Rich Voninski.
