Desert Pause
Sahara Desert, Merzouga, Morocco
In the vast expanse of the Sahara desert near Merzouga, Morocco, I captured a moment of respite. My trusty Sony RX100 stitched together this panoramic image. Here, two camel herders found solace from the relentless sun. Three camels rested, their patient gazes turned towards the horizon. One herder, dressed in traditional attire with his head wrapped against the elements, sat in the foreground, while the other watched over from behind. It was a scene of quiet camaraderie, a pause in the desert's unforgiving embrace, where time seemed to stand still, save for the shifting sands beneath us. Photo © copyright by Rich Voninski.
