Prayer Wheels

Steve and I went to Monkey Temple (it is called Monkey Temple since monkeys have been living at the site for literally over a thousand years) for blue hour the first morning after we arrived. This shot was a little tricky to get without getting in the way. Every morning thousands of people walk clockwise around the temple and spin the prayer wheels while walking by. I thought it would be great to get an image that coveyed the motion of the wheels and would be even better if I could get a hand pushing the wheels forward. All of this had to be done while staying out of peoples way and basically was shot in the dark right before sunrise. While this image is a little 'soft' in the hand I do not think it distracts since the hand was in motion. Photo © copyright by Rich Voninski.
