This iconic spiritual sanctuary has beckoned me since I was 16, and standing before it was surreal. Bathed in the ethereal glow of blue hour, the Shwedagon Pagoda radiates timeless beauty. The real gold adorning this sacred structure, placed there by generations of devoted Buddhists over 2600 years, reflects both their unwavering faith and the enduring allure of this hallowed place.
