Khonger Sand Dunes - Gobi Desert, Mongolia
In this image, a camel herder guides his caravan across the undulating terrain of the Khonger Sand Dunes in the Gobi Desert, Mongolia. The graceful spacing between the camels creates a mesmerizing pattern against the golden sands, with long shadows stretching across the dunes. During our stay in the Gobi, we had the privilege of capturing the nomadic way of life, thanks to a gracious couple and their expansive herd of camels. Photo © copyright by Rich Voninski.
