Midnight Guardian

In Sintra, Portugal, I stumbled upon a striking sight one night. This black and white photograph captures a colossal sculpture, half of a face, illuminated in a stark contrast of light and shadow. One eye is wide open, gazing with an intense brilliance. Against the darkness, a distant street lamp casts its glow upon the sidewalk, revealing this guardian of the night.
