Island Amidst Green Cascades
Banaue Region, Ifugao, Philippines
Captured on Fuji Velvia 50 film, this image was taken along the winding route into the mountainous rice terraces of the Philippines. A striking composition, it showcases a cascade of lush green terraces leading to a small "island" village nestled amidst the fields. Using my Wisner 4x5 camera and Nikkor 150mm lens, I aimed to balance the focal point of the village with the river that guides the viewer's gaze through the rest of the photograph.
